REQ191572

Job Description:
Nearly one third of Brown graduates choose to pursue first jobs in Finance and Consulting. In this context, the Assistant Dean will be responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive program of support that enables students to develop specialized knowledge about Finance and Consulting career pathways, prepare to engage in both structured and unstructured recruiting processes, connect with a community of alumni, family, and employer partners, and access opportunities to explore Finance and Consulting career experiences. The Assistant Dean will also develop strong relationships with faculty and administrators in select departments to support and expand the advising and activities that Brown faculty do to support students’ interest in these career fields.

The Assistant Dean will partner closely with Center colleagues to support students through counseling, programmatic offerings, and engagement with potential employers. The incumbent will also provide direct advising support to students in group discussions, open hours, workshops, and presentations. As an advising dean in the College, the Assistant Dean will utilize inclusive advising practices to fill the role of academic advisor and colleague to other college divisions and programs, and serves as a member of various College and University committees, as assigned.
